Top picks of week 8!

1. Titans (1-5) @ Lions (5-1): Lions -11.5 is the spread. Lay -11.5 Some might

fear this line, but I don’t! Lay the points at home with one of the

best teams in the league and potentially NFC champions! Of

course as always, The Lions have a heavy dome schedule this

year and this one is at home. Goff a God at home or in any dome.

Lions have #1 offense and facing statistically the #1 defense in the

Titans, & despite the 1-5 record, the Titans only allow 272 yards a

game, but will be no match for Goff & company in this one. Dan

Campbell is 35-16 ATS and Lions are 5-1 straight up and 5-1 ATS

on the season. Lions D has 19 sacks and 8 picks on the year.

Only concern for me is allowing 4th down conversions at #16, but I

don’t sweat it in this one! Titans can’t score and Goff and Lions get

the easy win at home and dome!

Lions roll 35-10.

2. Panthers (1-6) @ Broncos (4-3): Broncos -7.5 is the play. So

what, Bo Nix has 5 TDs and 5 picks but also has 1246 yards on

the year. His numbers rival Patrick Mahomes, who like Nix is

relying on the intangibles that his team can bring. Broncos have

the #4 defense against the #29 offense and I have to ride the

Broncos against the worst team in the league at home and at mile

high. Broncos ride their defense and the shortness of breath of the

Panthers at Denver and Bo Nix compliments with a nice game (2

TDs, 211 yards and 1 INT) in the win.

Broncos 24-7.

3. Pick of the week: Bears (4-2) @ Washington (5-2): Washington

+2.5 - I love it!

Daniels is likely to start at QB, but if he doesn’t I don’t think it

matters in this one! Marcus Mariota was 18-23 for 205 yards and

two TDs last week in the blow out. Former #2 pick and Heisman

winner, Mariota will shine if starting and it really doesn’t matter to

me who is under center. It really comes down to coaching and I

trust Dan Quinn more! He has the commanders playing inspired

play on all three elements of the game. He has a hard and I mean

hard hitting D and his run game is clicking at #16 in the league.

Bears rely on their D which is #5 against Washington at #4 with

Daniels. Conversely Bears are #24 on offense. I trust Quinn and

either QB in this one! It’s not about #1 or #2 in this one! It’s about

Dan Quinn and his D to stop a very suspect offense in the Bears

when not playing at home. Yeah, that’s a tell! Washington 26-17

at home!

4. Bills (5-2) @ Seattle (4-3): Lay Bills -3

DK Metcalf is out; Amari Cooper (signed last week) will be a major

contributor. That's really all you need to know. That is the

narrative! Bills are #2 in scoring at 28.4 a game. Allen is only one

of 12 QBs in the history of the league to throw for 10+ TDs with no

interceptions through 7. Allen also has 3 rushing TDs, so I expect

their offense to overwhelm the Seahawks in the victory! I ride the

Bills until I cannot!

Bills 31-24 at Seattle! Over 47 is sexy as well and a lock! 2

pick parlay pays on this one!

5. Eagles (4-2) @ Bengals (3-4): Eagles +2.5 is the play!

Last week, Eagles faced Giants and now they face the Bengals D

which are both in parity against the run, essentially the same run

defense. Saquon Barkley has 658 yards with 5 TDs (#5 in league)

and the Eagles ground attack will be too much for the Bengals.

Burrow is a top 3 QB in 2 categories: Passer rating and QBR. Their

D is a major problem and despite his throwing prowess, Jalen

Hurts stays with him mano-o-mano in this one and Eagles run

game and Jalen’s 3 receiving options are too much for the

Bengals: Eagles 35-28 at Bengals. & Over is also the lock at

48!
